The Spike Island cross country challange returns for 2018!  Being held this year on Saturday May 26th, this is your chance to join the race that starts and ends in a 200 year old Fortress and runs around a scenic heritage island!  There are simply incredible views of Cork harbour and Cobh, and unlike our 5km run this longer cross country takes you through our dry moat and beside the walls of our fierce Fortress.  You also get to run the full outer reaches of the island, for even more harbour views.

Those booking the first boat get to enjoy a short guided tour and time to self explore the Fortress before the race, while those on the later boats are straight up to the Fort for registry and race time.

The course includes a mix of road and short grass, with the vast majority being on road and pavement, so wear appropriate footwear

Join us for an island adventure!  Medals, time, fruit and water on completion or all finishers, with prizes for the first male and female.
